Himachal Pradesh has made phenomenal development during last five years, says Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur

<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur today said that Himachal Pradesh has made phenomenal development during the last five years and this has been possible due to the double engine governments at the Centre and the State. He said that the people of the country had elected a common man as the Prime Minister eight years ago, who ensured that the country emerges as a superpower in which there is no place for corruption.<br />''<br />''The Minister was addressing the gathering on the occasion of the inauguration and foundation stones laying ceremony of 92 developmental projects worth about 980 crore rupees at Sidhpur and Cholthara in Dharampur Assembly Constituency of Mandi district today.<br />''<br />''Mr. Thakur said that the Central Government has provided adequate funds to the state under various projects. The Union Minister also appreciated the good work done by the State Government headed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in the field of vaccination and the effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.<br />''<br />''He also elaborated on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to take five resolutions to make India strong and vibrant. He said that sufficient funds would be made available for the construction of playgrounds and stadiums in Dharampur to increase the sports activities in the area. He also thanked the Chief Minister for increasing social security pension and providing 125 units of free power to domestic electric consumers in the state.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the state has immensely benefitted by the benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that in addition to a special assistance of 800 crore rupees, the Prime Minister restored the special category status of the state in central funding by restoring the 90:10 ratio for all projects.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister said that the Congress leaders were misleading the people of the state on the  development issue. He said that Congress leaders are trying to woo the voters by giving ten guarantees. He said that it is strange that a party that has no guarantee of its own is giving ten guarantees. </span><br />
