Himachal Pradesh govt puts in all efforts to prepare facilities for controlling and preventing COVID-19 infection

<span style="color: #222222;">In Himachal Pradesh the State Government has put in all efforts to prepare facilities for controlling and preventing COVID-19 infection, building the infrastructure for quarantine and treatment of infected patients. AIR Correspondent reports that an oxygen plant sanctioned by the Central government for the state would be established soon by the DRDO.</span><br />'' <b><span style="color: #222222;"> </span></b><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, to manage the upsurge of fresh cases in the second wave, focused endeavours have been made to increase treatment facilities in the State. Enhancement of COVID facility is being made in the state in a time bound manner in order to provide quality health service to the individuals. Presently, the state has 30 dedicated COVID health centres. Out of these, makeshift hospitals have been established in Nalagarh, Palakwah, IGMC, Shimla and RPGMC, Tanda. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Also, four DCHC new makeshift hospitals are soon going to be established in Districts Una, Mandi and Kangra. The state government is trying to enhance bed capacity by 1100 in makeshift hospitals.Currently, the state has 3700 beds available in various health institutes of the state and occupancy is almost half. On the other hand,the state is producing 75.81 metric tonne oxygen per day while the consumption is 27.83 metric tonne per day. Eight industrial units are also manufacturing oxygen in the private sector and the production is 57.03 metric tonne per day. Very soon, DRDO will also erect an oxygen plant at civil hospital Palampur, zonal hospital Mandi, civil hospitals Khaneri, Rohru in Shimla, regional hospital Solan and medical college Nahan. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has said that the state has adequate supply of oxygen in health institutions  and constant efforts are being made to enhance the supply, by setting up more oxygen plants besides increasing the bed capacity to facilitate the COVID patients.</span><br />''  <br />
