Himachal Pradesh is celebrating its 64th foundation day today. On this day in 1948 Himachal Pradesh came into existence with the merger of 30 princely hilly states of the region. Speaking at a function in Una district, the Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhummal said, the state has made unparalleled and unprecedented progress. He also announced six per cent DA for the state government employees with effect from 1st January.
