Himachal Pradesh: About 1 lakh people stranded in various parts of country return to State

<span style="color: #222222;">In Himachal Pradesh, as many as one lakh people stranded in various parts of the Country have returned to the State and 55,000 more people are likely to return within next few days. In view of this Panchayat Pradhans across the state have been asked to keep a close surveillance on people arriving from other parts of the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Residents who are arriving in the state from the red zone areas of the country would be sent for institutional quarantine. Meanwhile. the total number of active positive covid 19 cases has gone up to 25 in the state. In order to ensure social distancing for people under isolation, Pradhans  have  been asked to  provide space at community center, Panchayat Ghar and Mahila mandal bhawan. Village pradhans have been told that if anyone found violating the home quarantine norms, the matter should be brought immediately before the district administration so that individual could be kept under institutional quarantine.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The State Government has also developed geo fencing app to ensure that people coming from other States do not violate the quarantine period. Meanwhile about 300 students would also be arriving from Ukraine at Chandigarh soon. All these students would be kept under institutional quarantine. On the other hand the state continues to see a surge in active covid 19 cases during the last six days. So far, 25 Active covid 19 cases have been registered in the state. Maximum number of active cases have been reported from Kangara district followed by Chamba. </span><br />''  <br />
