The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is reaching Saudi Capital Riyadh today to meet King Abdullah in an effort to bring Saudi leadership on board over Iranian nuclear issue and discuss Middle East peace process. In Doha on Sunday, speaking at a US-Islamic World Forum, she said that US and its allies are working on new measures to try and persuade Iran to reconsider its dangerous policy decisions as there is mounting evidence that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapon. Clinton said that Iran leaves the international community little choice but to impose greater costs for its provocative steps. On West Asia peace process, Hillary Clinton said that the goal of a comprehensive peace in Middle East is fully in the interest of the United States and US is committed to its role in ensuring that negotiations begin and succeed.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in an interview with Russian magazine has said that Iran does not need nuclear weapons to defend itself. He reiterated that as a signatory to NPT, Iran has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes.
