The United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed bilateral, regional and international issues that impinges on Indo-US ties. Ms. Clinton, who is on the last leg of her three-nation Asia trip, met Dr. Singh at his residence in Race Course Road.
Apart from the security situation in the region, the two leaders are believed to have discussed the Indo-US strategic partnership which encompasses a whole gamut of key bilateral areas. Later, Ms. Clinton also met UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Earlier in the day, Ms. Clinton arrived in the National Capital after meeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee in Kolkatta.
