High security number plates: SC seeks response from 5 states

The Supreme Court today issued notice to the five states on a contempt plea alleging non-compliance of the order related to ensuring High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) for all vehicles. <br/><br/>The bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra sought response from Assam, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and Gujarat in eight weeks. <br/>'<br/>The apex court had in 2012 asked all the states and Union territories to ensure HSRP for all vehicles by June 15 that year or face contempt of court proceedings.<br/>'<br/><br/>
