In Uttar Pradesh, the High School and Intermediate examinations of U.P Board, begin today. More than 64 lakh students have enrolled for Board examinations this year. The Uttar Pradesh Higher Secondary Education Board Secretary Vasudev Yadav told AIR that the Board has taken some new initiatives from this year which include fifteen minutes extra time for reading question papers. He said, the Board examinations are being conducted in two shifts and a total of 9884 examination centres have been made across the state.To prevent cheating and mass copying, the Board has arranged answer sheets with code numbers, specially in ten sensitive districts. The flying squad in all the districts will carry out sudden checking at examination centres to prevent any cheating. According to the Board, 274 prisoners have also registered their names for this year's board exams.
