High-level meeting in Raipur to assess the situation after Naxal attack

In Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Dr.Raman Singh is holding a high-level meeting in Raipur to assess the situation arising out of Tuesday’s Naxal attack in Narayanpur district. 26 CRPF jawans including one Assistant Commandant were killed in an encounter with the Naxalites in the Jharaghati jungle of Narayanpur. Home minister Nankiram Kanwar, DG, CRPF, Mr. Vikram Srivastav and representatives of the Union Home Ministry are attending the meeting. Meanwhile, the bodies of the jawans killed in the encounter have been brought to capital Raipur, where post mortem is in progress. Some of the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospitals in Raipur. AIR correspondent reports that a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the Maoists.<br/>
