High-level meeting held to review progress of PM's Development Package for J&K

A high-level Inter-Ministerial meeting was held in New Delhi to review the progress in implementation of development package for Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.<br/><br/>During the meeting, Mr. Singh took stock of the progress of various development initiatives announced for the state. Sources said the meeting was attended by representatives from various central ministries and departments, and the state government.<br/><br/>In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a package of 80 thousand crore rupees for the J&K.<br/><br/>The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of state Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's meeting with Prime Minister and Home Minister on Monday. The state is facing unrest for the past few months.
