The high level committee on Telangana today chalked out some plans and decided on the approach and methodology to be adopted for carrying out its task at its first meeting held in New Delhi today . <br/><br/>Later the Chairman of the Committee Retired Justice B.N. Shrikrishna said they will hold a series of meetings with different strata of people in the affected areas to know their views .He said the panel will see what can be done on the issue so that all people are happy and there is peace and prosperity throughout the state without giving rise to violence and internecine quarrels. <br/><br/>The former Home Secretary Mr V.K Duggal who is part of the panel said that they also took decisions on the allotment and distribution of work and the agenda to be completed before the second meeting to be held on the 25th of this month . Mr. Duggal said the members of the committee will be visiting Hyderabad soon . They may also visit other places in Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Duggal expressed the confidence that the committee will be able to submit its report before the deadline of 31st of December and will not ask for extensions.<br/><br/>The first meeting of the five member panel came a day after the government announced seven point terms of reference. Under them, the committee will examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh with reference to the demand for a separate state of Telangana as well as the demand for maintaining the present status of the united Andhra Pradesh. It will also review the developments in the state since its formation and their impact on the progress of different regions of the state. The members of the panel will be interacting with representatives of political parties as well social , economic and civil society groups .<br/>
