In the Union Territory of Puducherry a high level committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan to monitor and boost the Covid 19 Vaccination activities in the Union Territory.<br />'' <br />''AIR Correspondent reports, this 22 members committee includes the Chief Secretary, Health Secretary , other line department secretaries, medical experts and educationists. This committee will assess the implementation process of the Covid 19 Vaccination and adopt strategies to increase the count, since the first phase failed to get the desired results. The second phase will begin from March 1st. 2021.<br />'' <br />''According to the Covid 19 status report today, 9864 persons were vaccinated so far, which includes 9380 health care workers and 484 front line workers. Out of 1648 tests tested 20 new cases recorded positive. 23 persons discharged from the hospitals. A total of 194 persons are being treated for the disease.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The total recovery rate in the UT stands at 97.83 % and the mortality rate is 1.68%.</span><br />
