High court delays Bangladesh tour of Pakistan<br/>

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board that it is not in a position to commit to the Tour of Pakistan on the agreed dates of April 28th to May 1st this year following a High Court order. The Bangladesh High Court today ordered that the planned tour of the country&apos;s cricket team to Pakistan on April 29th be suspended for four weeks. The two member bench of Justice Farid Ahmed and Sheikh Hassan Arif issued the order after hearing a petition challenging the Bangladesh Cricket Board&apos;s decision to send the team to Pakistan amidst the prevailing security situation. The Bangladesh Cricket board had earlier decided to send the country&apos;s team to Pakistan to play a one-day match on April 29th and a Twenty20 international the next day in Lahore. The Court has questioned the decision to send the team despite the prevailing security risks and issued notices to the Secretary, Bangladesh Ministry of Sports, National Sports Council Chief and the Bangladesh Cricket Board President to justify the decision for the tour.
