High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami pays farewell call on Prime MInister Hasina in Dhaka

<span style="background-color: transparent; color: #000000;">The outgoing High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Wednesday. <br />''<br />''High Commissioner Doraiswami thanked Prime Minister Hasina and expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure in Bangladesh. <br />''<br />''High Commissioner Doraiswami praised the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under which Bangladesh-India relations and the overall socio-economic development of Bangladesh have reached a new height. He expressed the hope that the bilateral ties between the two countries would be further consolidated in the future so that the next generation can benefit from it. <br />''<br />''Prime Minister Hasina praised the leadership of her Indian counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She stressed upon the need for working together with neighbouring countries to ensure sustainable development of the region for the greater benefit of its people. Speaking about issues between neighbours, Prime Minister Hasina said that both the countries can move forward by resolving the matters through discussion. <br />''<br />''PM's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Jahid Tusher briefed the media after the meeting.<br />''<br />''High Commissioner Doraiswami  presented Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a portrait of her, while the Prime Minister gifted him a book, saree and replica of a  boat.
