High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha unfurls National flag at India House in Colombo

<span style="color: #222222;">The High Commission of India in Colombo is celebrating the 75th Republic Day in all its diplomatic offices in Sri Lanka. High Commissioner of India Santosh Jha unfurled the National flag at India House in Colombo this morning. Cultural performances added to the flavour of the celebrations thereafter. Earlier, Remembering the sacrifices of the Indian peacekeeping force in Sri Lanka, the High Commissioner laid a wreath at the IPKF memorial. The Assistant High Commission of India at Kandy as well as the Consulates at Jaffna and Hambantota too celebrated the republic day with unfurling of the tricolour flag. On Wednesday, the Indian Mission organised a cultural event with eight classical Indian dance forms to commemorate the 75th Republic Day at the BMICH hall in Colombo. The event brought together ICCR artists from India, who presented Odissi, Kathakali, Manipuri, and Sattriya dance performances while accomplished artists from Sri Lanka performed Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, and Kuchipudi.</span><br />
