High alert sounded in UP following blast at hospital in Agra

In Uttar Pradesh, high alert has been sounded following blast at a private hospital at Agra in which at least three persons were injured. They are out of danger. Unconfirmed reports however put the number of injured persons at ten. Security has been intensified in and around Taj Mahal and public places in the city. Security forces and intelligence have been alerted in all sensitive districts of the state. A team of National Security Guards, NSG arrives at the site of the blast to collect evidence. The Union Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh, Panchayati Raj Minister of Uttar Pradesh Swami Prasad Maurya and special DG of state police Brij Lal will also visit the city today to take the stock of the situation. Inspector General of Police Agra range PK Tiwari told AIR that hospital where the blast had taken place has been vacated and injured were admitted in two other hospitals. Our correspondent reports that a Forensic team has collected samples from the spot to ascertain the explosives used in the blast.
