In Uttar Pradesh, security has been intensified in and around Taj Mahal and public places in the Taj city following blast at a private hospital. Inspector General of Police Agra Range P K Tiwari told our correspondent that security forces and intelligence have been alerted in all sensitive districts of the state. A team of National Security Guard NSG has collected material from blast site. Special DG of state police Brij Lal reviewed security arrangements and progress into the probe with local officials involved in the investigation. He said forensic experts have recovered pieces of wire and 6 batteries from the blast site, confirming the use of an improvised explosive device. The explosive was placed in a bag under a chair in front of the reception counter. He said it was too early to say if it was a terror attack. He said that it was a low intensity blast. State Panjayati Raj Minister Mr. Swami Prasad Maurya today visited Agra and announced financial help of one lakh rupees each to the injured in the blast. He said, no one has either been arrested or detained for interrogation in this incident. Police has claimed that only four are injured in the blast while unconfirmed sources said that about 10 persons have received injuries. Most of the injured are from Agra and Aligarh districts. Our Lucknow correspondent reports that 50 thousand rupees will be given to the person providing information about people involved in the blast.
