The coastal and south Orissa is also likely to be hit by thundershowers under the impact of cyclonic storm Laila. The system is likely to intensify further and move in the North Westerly direction. Under the impact of Laila Southern and Northern parts of Orissa received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. The Bhubaneswar Met office has predicted heavy rainfall over south and coastal Orissa with a wind speed of 50 to 60 km in the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Orissa government has asked all the collectors of Southern and Caostal Districts of the state to remain alert.
