Hezbollah warns of attack on Israel-bound ships if it imposed sea blockade on Lebanon

The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah group has warned that Hezbollah will attack Israel-bound ships if it imposed a sea blockade on Lebanon.Speaking on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon after a 22-year occupation Hezbollah chief claimed that his group is capable of destroying any military or commercial ships heading to Israeli ports. According to Hezbollah’s al Manar TV, Nasrallah said that Hezbollah now had the capability to inflict as much harm on Israel as it did in Lebanon during the 2006 war.Israel imposed a sea and air embargo on Lebanon during its month-long war against Hezbollah in 2006, saying it needed to prevent the guerrillas from being re supplied with weapons.Nasrallah's comments come amid a five-day drill in Israel- dubbed "Turning Point 4"- which was launched on 23rd of this month to test the Jewish state's preparedness against possible missile strikes from the Gaza Strip and by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
