Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary today launched the Centralized Delhi Police Railway Helpline Number-1512 in Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chaudhary asked the Delhi Police to arrange extensive publicity for this Helpline to raise awareness among the commuting rail traffic. He said, this helpline will serve as a useful mechanism for rail passengers. The passengers can now file complaints and make suggestions from moving trains without deboarding.<br/><br/>Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi said, a phone call on 1512 from anywhere in the country will land in the concerned Control Room of State Government Railway Police (GRP). Mr Bassi said, Copy of the FIR will sent to the complainant through fax, email or post and police officers will remain in touch with complainants till their problems are resolved.
