Hectic political activities in the Congress Party are in progress to form a new government in Himachal Pradesh. The Congress State President and the strong contender for the Chief Minister's post Virbhadra Singh held a meeting in Shimla with several newly elected candidates of the party.
Earlier in the morning, Mr Singh also met the senior Congress leader Vidhya Stocks in Shimla. On the other hand three senior Congress leader, former party President Kaul Singh Thakur, AICC Secretary, Asha Kumari and former minister G.S. Bali who got elected in the election have left for Delhi to meet the high command.
Talking to the newsmen in Shimla on Friday the Congress State President said that the Party has received the clear cut mandate to form the government and now it is upto the Party High Command to decide whom to make the Chief Minister. He said that he will accept what ever the decision is taken by the High Command.
On the other the former Congress State President Kaul Singh Thakur has also expressed his contention for the chief minsiter's post stating that he has been elected for the state assembly for the 8th time and now the decision is to be taken by the High Command.
