In Jharkhand, with no single party or alliance in a position to muster majorty in the 81 member assembly, hectic political activity is on. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, JMM, with 18 seats seem set to play a key role in government formation.Congress and its ally Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatrantrik) with 25 seats will require support of 16 MLAs to stake its claim for forming the government. BJP, JDU alliance could muster only 20 seats in the state and would require support of 21 MLAs to stake the claim for forming the government.
