Hectic parleys continued throughout the day in Delhi with senior BJP and NDA leaders being engaged in consultations ahead of government formation on Monday.

BJP leaders including Amit Shah, Uma Bharti, J P Nadda, Venkiah Naidu and Ananth Kumar met Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi at Gujarat Bhawan in the national capital. NDA partner Ramdas Athawale of the Republican Party of India was also present.

Besides, a number of leaders drove to Party President Rajnath Singh's residence also. Prominent among those who met Mr Singh included party MPs Maneka Gandhi, Udit Raj and Rajya Sabha member Vijay Goel. Former Union minister in the NDA government I D Swamy also met Singh. BJP general secretary Ram Lal too met the party chief.
