Hectic parleys continue in BJP for 2nd day running, ahead of govt formation

Hectic consultations continue in BJP for the second day in a row, ahead of government formation. Senior leaders Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and Kalyan Singh met Narendra Modi at Gujarat Bhavan in New Delhi today.

RSS' Delhi headquarters is also witnessing a streak of BJP leaders calling on senior functionaries of Sangh. The leaders who visited the Sangh office, are Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Prakash Javadekar, Vinay Katiyar and newly-elected MPs, including former Home Secretary R K Singh.

Leaders are also flocking BJP President Rajnath Singh's residence. The leaders include Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharti, Gopinath Munde, Ram Kripal Yadav and Varun Gandhi. Apna Dal leader Anupriya Patel, whose party is an alliance partner of BJP in Uttar Pradesh, also met Mr Singh.

BJP's Parliamentary Party will meet tomorrow to formally elect Narendra Modi as its leader.
