With first phase polls less than a week away, Bihar is witnessing a frantic campaigning by all political parties. Due to strict code of conduct implemented by Election commission, street walls are unusually free from posters and graffitis. This has forced the political parties to adopt new and innovative ways of campaigning.<br/> <br/>Meanwhile, the Election Commission has today issued notification for the fifth and final phase of assembly elections in Bihar. 57 constituencies spread over 09 districts will go to polls in this phase on November 05. Candidates can file their nomination from 11 am to 3 pm. Last day of filing of nomination papers is the 15th of this month. Scrutiny will take place the next day, and candidates can withdraw their nomination paper till the 19th.<br/><br/>The election for the final phase of election will be held in 09 districts of Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura, Purnea, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar. Meanwhile, 625 candidates have so far filed their nominations for the 3rd phase of elections to be held on the 28th of this month.<br/><br/>Today is the last day of filing of nomination paper for this phase. Polls to the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be held in 5 phases between 12th of this month and the 5th of the next month. Counting will be held on 8th November. The term of the current Assembly expires on 29th November.

Hectic campaigning in Bihar ahead of 1st phase of polling on Monday
