Hectic campaign drive is preceding by-elections in Bihar

Hectic campaigning is going on for the by-election of the Duraundha Assembly seat in Bihar. Nine candidates are contesting the seat, which became vacant following the death of JDU MLA Jag Mato Devi. The voting is on the 13th while counting of the votes will be on 17th of this month.The ruling JDU has already put in majority of its MLAs and Ministers for the canvassing on the development issues. On the other hand, RJD is banking hard on the public meetings being addressed by its chief Lalu Prasad and another leader Prabhunath Singh. A total of 244 polling booths have been set up. Two lakh thirty-five thousand nine hundred sixty-two voters will exercise their voting rights.
