Heavy to very heavy rains lash parts of Kutch, Saurashtra, North Gujarat

In Gujarat, heavy to very heavy rains lashed many parts of Kutch, Saurashtra and North Gujarat throwing normal life out of gear. According to the State Emergency Operation Center, 243 talukas of 33 districts of the state have recorded rain during the last 24 hours. Kutch, Morbi, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Porbandar districts have recorded maximum rainfall.<br />''<br />''According to sources, Abadasa, Mandvi and Lakhpat in Kutch district have recorded maximum up to 225 millimeter rain. Kutch district has already recorded more than 200 percent rain during the current monsoon season.<br />''<br />''Incessant rain created flood-like situations in the rural areas of Abadasa, Lakhpat and Mandvi talukas. Kutch- Morbi National highway near khirai damaged due to heavy rain. Bhadar 2, Machchu 2 dams in Saurashtra is overflowing following heavy inflow of fresh water. Following heavy to very heavy rain warning, districts administrations in Kutch, Saurashtra and North Gujarat have been asked to remain vigilant.<br />
