In Uttar Pradesh heavy rain lashed several parts of the state during last 24 hours. Incessant rainfall has brought an end to the humidity of the past few days in eastern region of the state. AIR Allahabad correspondent reports that heavy rainfall disrupted normal life in many districts including Allahabad, Sultanpur, Rae Bareilly, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar, Ballia, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Sonebhadra and Pratapgarh with rain water entering several houses, schools and office buildings. Maximum 19 Cms rainfall has been received at Meja in Allahabad district followed by 16 Cms rain in Fatehpur 13in Amethi and Pratapgarh, 10 each, Rae Bareilly, Sonebhadra and Mirzapur. Following incessant rains, water level of many rivers have increased. Weathermen has forecast rain and thundershowers at most places over eastern region a few places over the western parts in the next 24-hour. They have also warned of heavy to very heavy rain at few places over eastern UP in the next 48-hour
