In Tamil Nadu, North east monsoon has been very active throwing normal life out of gear yesterday with heavy rain lashing several parts of the State forcing the district administrations of Chennai, Pudukottai, Thiruvellore, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Ramanathapuram, Nagapatattinam and Villlupuram Districts to declare a holiday for schools today.<br/><br/>Chennai city has been experiencing heavy downpour since yesterday evening. Normal life has been disrupted as rain continues inundating several low lying areas According to the Met Department, the city is expected to get more rains for another 24 hours.<br/><br/>As the Sea condition is rough fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.<br/><br/> <br/>
