In Tamil Nadu, heavy rain has lashed the coastal districts of the state. Ramanathapuram recorded 16 cm of rainfall followed by Cuddalore and Tuticorin with 9 cm each. The water levels in all the dams and reservoirs are gradually increasing. The popular Kutralam water falls in Tirunelveli district was closed due to heavy rain and flooding on Thursday.The Deputy Director General of Met Department has said that rain is likely to continue for few more days.
