Heavy rains lash Mumbai, disrupt normal life

Mumbai and suburbs are witnessing heavy rainfall since yesterday morning. The weather bureau said that, Colaba station of South Mumbai recorded 135.7 mm of rainfall while the suburban Santacruz station recorded 97.8 mm of rainfall. <br/><br/>According to BMC officials there was water logging in low lying areas. Local trains on Central and harbour lines were running normally. The weather bureau has forecasted heavy rains and thunder in some parts of city and suburbs. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in some areas.<br/><br/>In Marathwada region seven people have been killed due to rains during the last few days.
