Heavy rains lash Delhi, traffic woes again

Following heavy rain in the capital, the Delhiites heaved a sigh of relief as it considerably brought down the day temperature which recorded the maximum of 36.6 degree Celsius .The minimum temperature recorded was 26.3 degree Celsius .Heavy rain , leading to massive traffic snarls. It also claimed the life of a boy due to electrocution. The showers started at around 3:30 pm and rain gauges measured 18.5 mm till 8:30 pm. Though the rain brought much needed respite from extreme humid conditions vehicular movement was affected in several areas including South Extension, Ber Sarai, Adchini, IIT, Ashram, Moolchand and Lajpat Nagar due to waterlogging. The weatherman has predicted more rain today.
