In Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has become active in the eastern region. Heavy rain has lashed several places in Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and Varanasi divisions during last twenty four hours. Water has logged in low lying areas of the cities hampering traffic. At least six people have died in lightening incidents in Sonebhadra districts during last 48 hours. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that heavy rain has lashed Gorakhpur early this morning inundating several low lying areas. The met office has predicted heavy rains at some places and mild rain or thundershower in almost all the divisions of the state.
