In Chhattisgarh, normal life has been thrown out of gear due to incessant rains during the last 72 hours. Many areas of the state have been inundated creating flood like situation in a number of cities like Raipur , Korba, and Raygarh.In the Raygarh district about 60 villages surrounded by water have been evacuated to relief camps. Apart from this, at least 3 persons have died in different areas of the state during the last two days due to heavy rains. More over, both road and rail traffic have also been affected.The Mumbai-Howrah rail route passing through Raygarh district has been disrupted where restoration work is in full swing.Meanwhile the routes of some trains have also been diverted. The Chief Minister Dr , Raman Singh has directed the district collectors to make necessary arrangements for people affected by the heavy rains.
