Normal life in many parts of Jharkhand has been disrupted following heavy rain for last three days. There is however some respite now in some areas, including capital Ranchi. However, the met department predicts more rain till Saturday evening. Ranchi has already recorded an all time high rainfall this year.Entire Jharkhand has been under constant rain since last three days due to a shifting low pressure, which had originated at Bay of Bengal near Odisha. In addition to this, the monsoon clouds have caused heavy and continuous rain in major parts of the state. All major rivers of the state- Damodar, Swarnrekha, Kharkai, Vaitarini, Koyal and Sanjay are overflowing. Many tourists are stranded as the bridges connecting Jharkhand to Chhatisgarh in Gumla and to Odisha in West Singhbhum, have submerged. Administration has taken up all necessary steps to ensure safety of the people.
