In UttarPradesh, at least 14 people were killed in heavy downpour and rain related incidents.Six persons were killed due to lightning and house collapse in Barabanki and four died in similar incidents inLucknow. Two rain-related deaths were also reported from Sitapur and Pilibhit. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports, incessant rain is lashing entire eastern region for past 48 hours. Varanasi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Gorakhpur districts have experienced light to moderate rain on Saturday. Water level of Ganga, Ghaghra and Saryu rivers has again started rising. In Mirzapur, the gates of embankments have been opened as the flood water is putting pressure on the embankments.Vehicular traffic was adversely affected due to felling of trees and cities witnessed heavy water logging throwing normal life out of gear.
