Heavy rainfall in the evening gave the much needed respite to Delhiites from hot and humid conditions. However, it led to the problem of waterlogging in the city, resulting in traffic snarls in many areas. <br/><br/>The maximum temperature, which touched 36.6 degree celcius in the day, plunged by a couple of notches following the heavy rain.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the South-West Monsoon had hit the city on the 5th of July, a week later than it was supposed to descend over the capital. <br/><br/>However, the rain subsided soon due to shifting of the monsoon system to Himalayan foothills.
