Heavy rainfall hits normal life in Meghalaya

Heavy rainfall has thrown life out of gear in Meghalaya in the last two days. It has created havoc disrupting power supplies, uprooting trees and triggering landslides in various parts of the State. <br />''<br />''In South West Khasi Hills district, six people got swept away while trying to cross Tihian River, Warsan Lyngdoh areas of the district on Tuesday.<br />'' <br />''Out of the six, four bodies have been recovered while two of them are still missing, according to official information.<br />'' <br />''It stated that the Fire and Emergency Service and State Disaster Response Force Team of the Home Guards along with locals are still on the lookout of the remaining two.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Indian Meteorological Department has issued  warning of very heavy rainfall over the State at many places and said that rainfall will continue till September 25. </span><br />
