In Tamil Nadu, heavy rain has affected normal life in many places like Thoothukudi, Nilgiris and Chennai. The Met office said trough of low pressure has formed over south west Bay of Bengal bordering Sri Lanka. This will result in heavy rain in coastal Tamil Nadu and isolated rain in many parts of the state. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports, Union Minister of State for Road Transport Highways and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan reviewed rain affected places in Cuddalore district. The death toll in north east monsoon rain in the state has risen to more than 130. Chief Minister Jayalaithaa has announced 4 lakh rupees each for the families of those killed in rain related incidents. <br/><br/><br/>
