Heavy rains have been lashing several parts of Maharashtra for the last few days.<br />'' <br />'' The incessant downpour has triggered a flood-like situation in several parts of Vidarbha and Nasik and Kolhapur. IMD has predicted heavy rainfall for the next two days.<br />'' <br />'' In Maharashtra's Nasik district, due to heavy rainfall, the Maharashtra Irrigation department had to release 1,000 cubic foot per second (cusec) water from Gangapur Dam into the Godavari river yesterday. This has resulted in a flood-like situation in the city.<br />'' <br />'' Low lying areas including streets near the Trimbakeshwar Temple have been submerged. Meanwhile, heavy rains continue to lash Mumbai and its adjoining areas.<br />'' <br />'' At least two persons were killed and one person was injured after a wall collapsed in Kalwa area of Thane city yesterday night. The police and fire brigade team members evacuated a total of 19 people residing in the crawl and shifted them to a nearby school.<br />'' <br />'' According to IMD forecast, moderate to heavy rains will continue in Vidarbha and Marathwada for another 48 hours and moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may lash Konkan and Mumbai.<br />'' <br />'' Regional Meteorological centre Nagpur has issued a warning that Extremely heavy rainfall might occur at isolated places over Vidarbha in next 5 days. A warning has been issued for the districts of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli as well.<br />'' <br />'' Bhandara, Yavatmal and Wardha will also receive heavy to very heavy rainfall next week according to Met department. In Gadchiroli, Allapalli – Bhamragad road near Chandra is cut off as Pearlcoat and Bandia rivers are overflowing.<br />'' <br />'' In Amravati, Sipna river has crossed the danger mark and 27 villages have lost contact. 19 families are shifted to a safe location by the local administration in Harisal and Duni.<br />''  <br />
