Heavy rain lashes several parts of Delhi NCR; Met Department predicts heavy rainfall in northern India, several parts of Maharashtra

<span style="color: #000000;">Parts of Delhi and several other parts of the National capital region are receiving moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms from early morning today. This led to waterlogging in low-lying areas and affected traffic movement in several areas. Delhi Traffic Police also alerted commuters to avoid specific stretches of roads where waterlogging has been reported. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorm with moderate to heavy rainfall in Delhi and parts of National Capital Region including Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida today.<br />''<br />''India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places in Mumbai. Extremely heavy rainfall along occasional gusty winds reaching upto 65 kmph are expected in some places. Red alert has been issued in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur and Satara districts for today. While orange alert has been issued for Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Palghar districts. </span>
