Heavy rain lashed several parts of the national capital on Tuesday bringing respite from the sweltering heat. According to the Met department, the city recorded 45 millimeters of rainfall on Tuesday afternoon which lasted for nearly two hours.Although the rains brought down the mercury, water logging on major roads led to long traffic jams. AIR Correspondent reports that the city has so far recorded nearly 180 mm of rainfall this season which is almost 40 percent below normal.
