In Uttarakhand, heavy rain lashed major parts of the state for the second consecutive day on Friday. The temperature has come down at most of the places. Met department has predicted light to moderate rain may occur at many places in the next 24 hours.As per reports several houses have been damaged due to landslides following the incessant rain in DeeDihat, Gangoleehat, Munsyari and Dharchula area of Pithouragarh District. Many Roads have damaged in the district due to heavy rain. In Garhval region, vehicular traffic disrupted as frequent landslides reported from many places.In a tragic incident, a primary school teacher died in a bid to save her two students from drowning in a swollen rivulet. The incident occurred yesterday in Dehradun when the teacher was returning home after the school was over.
