In Gujarat, heavy rain of upto 680 milimetres have been recorded in some pockets of the coastal areas of Saurashtra region yesterday. Kodinar in Junagarh district is the worst affected by the rain. Quoting district administration sources, our Bhuj correspondent reports that people living in low-laying areas have been warned of the water logging and has been asked to remain alert. Meanwhile, Met Department has predicted heavy to very heavy downpour in the coastal areas of Kutch and Saurashtra region. In Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, incessant rain caused flash flood in some areas of Hardwar bordering Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, more than 10 centimeter rain occurred during last week.
