In Kerala, heavy to very heavy rain in the southern parts of the state has severely affected normal life. Schools and colleges are closed since yesterday as many low lying areas are water logged. Hundreds of people have been shifted to relief camps in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha districts.
