In Uttarakhand, six people were killed in heavy rain during last 24 hours. Chardham Yatra was halted as down pour paralised normal life. Most of the rivers are flowing at danger level. Met department predicts more rain in next 24 hours especially in Garhwal division. More from our correspondent.According to official reports two children were killed when their house collapsed over them following heavy rains at Mehargaon village in Tehri district. In a similar incident at Lakshmanpur area in Vikasnagar town of Dehradun, a woman was buried alive under the debris of her house. So far, heavy rains have claimed about six lives in the state in last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the 'Chardham Yatra' comprising pilgrimage to the four hilly shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri was halted as heavy rains triggered a series of landslides at a number of places in the Garhwal region. Where as some other important roads in Kumaon region also damaged due to landslips. Meanwhile, Work is on to clear the debris and repairs the roads. In Hardwar, Ganga, is flowing above the danger level.
