In Himachal Pradesh heavy rain has claimed eight lives in the state during the past twenty four hours. The normal life has been badly affected due to continuous heavy rain in the state. All the rivers are at spate including Beas which is flowing above danger mark. Power generation has been disrupted in Nathpa Jhakri , Karcham Wangtoo and MW Baspa Hydel projects, projects due to increased silt quantity in Sutlej river which is at spate .
