In Jharkhand, heavy rains for last 30 hours have disrupted the normal life in many parts of the state. Capital Ranchi recorded 88 millimetre of rainfall in the last 24 hrs. Major rivers in the state is overflowing, submerging roads, bridges and some residential areas. In Ranchi Swarnrekha river has over flown into residential areas of Namkom. Met department has issued warning that rain will continue for another 24 hours in the state.Entire Jharkhand is under constant rains since last 30 hrs due to low pressure at Bay of Bengal near Odisha. On Friday that has shifted to Jamshedpur. In addition to this, the monsoon clouds have also gathered over the state. This all have caused heavy and continuous rains in major parts of the state. All major rivers of the state- be it Swarnrekha, Kharkai, Vaitarini and Sanjay are overflowing much above and wider than the normal level. Many people are stranded in Gumla, as the bridge connecting Jharkhand to Chhattisgarh has submerged. Administration has taken up all necessary steps to ensure safety of the people.
