Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds brought the mercury levels down in the national capital, Delhi, this morning. The city also experienced a strong squall last night which uprooted many trees. According to the Met department, Western Disturbance over northwest Pakistan and neighbourhood and upper air cyclonic circulation over Punjab and neighbourhood are responsible for this drastic change in the weather. After scorching at over 40 degree celsius in the past few days, the city is likely to experience pleasant weather over the weekend. Weatherman predicts rain and thuderstorms to continue till tomorrow. The mercury is likely to oscillate between 37 and 27 degrees today.
