Heavy rain continues in Orissa

In Orissa, heavy to very heavy rainfall continues to affect normal life in coastal parts of the state. The low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal has deepened further and is lay centred about 300 km south of Gopalpur in Orissa. The Bhubaneswar Meterological Office has predicted the system to move first in the north-westerly direction and later north-northerly direction showering heavy to very heavy falls in all the coastal districts with wind speed of 50 to 55 km per hour. Some parts of interior Orissa is also likely to experience heavy rain fall under the impact of the low pressure. Danger signal has been hoisted at Puri, Paradip, Chandbali and Gopalpur ports of Orissa. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into deep sea as it would be very rough during the next 48 hours.
